What to check
For an own-SIM tracker, confirm network technology, required data and SMS functions, APN settings and any PIN requirements. The right card also depends on where it will be used and roaming arrangements. A phone SIM is not automatically compatible with every tracker.
Before you rely on it
Compare the full ongoing charge rather than just a promotional SIM price. Before relying on the device, test position delivery and relevant notifications in the intended region. Network availability and supported technologies can change, so check with the provider for your travel route.
