What to check
Cellular GPS devices and Bluetooth-network tags work differently. A GPS unit depends on its battery, reception and service; a tag depends on nearby compatible devices. Anti-stalking warnings can reveal a tag, and a hidden tracker can still be removed.
Before you rely on it
Use a suitable lock and secure parking even when a tracker is fitted. Test the notification process before a theft occurs, and keep the subscription active. Do not enter private premises or confront a suspected thief because a map appears to show the bicycle there.
