Trackers without subscriptions: the actual trade-offs.
“No subscription” can describe a Bluetooth tag, a GPS device using your own SIM, or a tracker with a prepaid period. These are different arrangements. Check both the technology and what happens when an included service period ends.

What to check
A Bluetooth tag usually has no cellular bill, but it relies on nearby compatible devices and does not provide its own wide-area live GPS service. A personal-SIM GPS device can still incur data or SMS charges. Included tracking years are not the same as unlimited lifetime service.
Before you rely on it
Compare the total cost for your intended ownership period, including accessories and connectivity. Choose a device whose limitations suit the task. Avoid treating the absence of a monthly invoice as proof that a device offers the same service as a connected live tracker.
