Where to mount a bicycle tracker.

A discreet mounting point should still permit reception, charging and safe use of the bicycle. Follow the specific holder and tracker instructions. Hiding a device inside metal components can reduce signal quality, and poorly secured hardware can create a riding hazard.

What to check

Common arrangements include a purpose-built light, lock, holder or an internal e-bike installation. Confirm frame and motor compatibility before purchase. An accessory designed to hold an AirTag does not turn that tag into a connected GPS device.

Before you rely on it

Check the fitted device for movement, interference and weather exposure, then test alerts and position delivery. Use a proper bicycle lock as the main theft deterrent. Keep identifiers and photos so that location information can support a police report if the bike is stolen.
